The timport function in Texis uses the same schema as the timport program. It can accept data either from a file, or from a Vortex variable. The main advantages of <timport> in Vortex are the ability to process data before and after the timport call. Instead of putting the data into fields in a table the data is put into Vortex variables, where they can be subsequently processed. The DBF import format does not currently work the same as the others, and will not work within Texis.
