Directives

Vortex directives are commands that affect the behavior of the script, but have a global effect and are evaluated only at compile time. As such, they must appear before the first function in the script. For example, the EXPORT directive (here) flags which variables will be exported; the actual export of these variables, however, happens when $url is printed at run time.
