Import Process

Once started, the import process runs in the background and reports status just like a normal walk, on the Walk Status page. Each file imported is reported in the status, so that progress of a large multi-file import can be tracked more directly. The import may be stopped, or paused and made live, via the STOP walk or Pause walk and live buttons. Documents added, updated or deleted from the search database by the import process are also added to the replication queue for replication to other profiles, if the profile is so configured (here).
