Adding or Editing an Entity

Once an XML (here) or text file has been created to define the entity (or entities, if XML), it may be added to the Parametric Search Appliance with the following steps:

1. Go to System → Modules → Entities.

2. Choose the link to Add entities (or Add or edit entities).

3. On the Add Entities form, set the Dictionary field to the XML or text file you created for the entity.

4. If a text file was chosen, also enter the Name for the entity. For XML files, leave Name blank: the name is specified in the XML.

5. Hit Add Entities to upload the entity.

Any of the entities in the file that are the same name as an existing entity will replace them, allowing existing entities to be edited.
